Learn About Contractor
Review the key terms and commission structure for bCom independent contractors. These terms are drawn from the bCom Independent Contractor Agreement. Upon approval, a formal agreement will be signed between you and Broadband Connectivity Outreach Mission Limited (bCom).
1. Scope of Services
As an independent contractor, you will provide business development, marketing, and client acquisition services on behalf of bCom. Your role includes identifying, pitching, and securing new clients for bCom digital solutions, including:
- Website development
- Software management systems
- Web portals
- Mobile applications
Services may span corporate, hospitality, healthcare, and other sectors as directed by bCom.
2. Independent Contractor Status
You join bCom as an independent contractor — a flexible, self-directed role built around client acquisition and business growth. This is not traditional employment, and it gives you the freedom to work on your own terms while representing the bCom brand.
- You operate independently and manage your own working schedule and approach.
- bCom provides the platform, brand, and digital solutions — you bring the drive to connect with new clients.
3. Compensation & Commission Structure
Compensation is entirely performance-based. Commission is calculated on the total value of each client's initial contract for eligible bCom services, including website development, software systems, web portals, and mobile apps.
Progressive Commission Scale (1% Increment Per Client)
Your commission rate increases by 1% for each new unique client you successfully acquire, up to a permanent maximum rate:
| Client Milestone | Commission Rate |
|---|---|
| 1st Client Acquired | 6% |
| 2nd Client Acquired | 7% |
| 3rd Client Acquired | 8% |
| 4th Client Acquired | 9% |
| 5th Client and Beyond | 10% (Permanently Locked) |
Milestone Lock-In
Once you successfully secure your 5th client, your commission rate is permanently locked at 10%. This maximum rate applies to the fifth client and all subsequent client acquisitions for the remainder of the agreement.
Payment Terms
- Earning trigger: Commission is earned only after the client signs their formal service agreement with bCom and bCom receives the client's initial payment or deposit.
- Payout schedule: Commissions are calculated and paid within 48 business hours after the respective client's payment clears successfully.
4. Confidentiality & Intellectual Property
- You must maintain strict confidentiality regarding bCom proprietary information, including software ecosystems, pricing strategies, source code, and client databases.
- All intellectual property, marketing assets, software modifications, and branding materials (including the bCom ecosystem and logo) remain the sole and exclusive property of bCom.
5. Term & Termination
- Term: The agreement begins on the effective date and remains in effect until terminated by either party.
- Termination for convenience: Either party may terminate with 7 days' written notice, with or without cause.
- Termination for cause: bCom may terminate immediately without notice for breach of confidentiality, professional misconduct, or actions that harm the Company's reputation.
6. Governing Law
This agreement is governed by and enforced in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
